Doug is running Red Dragon Inn and i may run a DND game Sunday morning to make up for the dearth of Sunday morning games...

I am in for Sunday morning.  I am only there 2 days this year due to my son graduating from high school so I was also a little bummed that there were no D&D nor AD&D games Sunday.  Thanks for offering Mike!

I would love to be in another of Mike's AD&D games!  It appears we are up to three players already.  Anybody else?   :)

Gary Oliver will be running pick-up Aliens games, I imagine. I'll be helping to referee, here and there as well :)

Ok, then it's settled. Going to run my twisted and revised version of Jaquay's Classic "The Lost Temple" from The Book of Treasure Maps, I ran it a few months back and the bunch of us (six including Mike and Liz Stewart) had a great time.  My setup requires pregens and I just checked, all materials are present (including Taco Jon's great [pre-printed color map of the exterior of the temple), so no need to do anything but show up.  Can only take up to nine and it will be first come first served.  Doug is also going to run a D&D game but it will be his crazy brand of no dice rolling,no stats, no minis, theater of the mind new-school hooey he prefers over my methodical plodding use of numbers, lead miniatures, copious dice rolling and stats that matter. We will have to start early because I'll be needed with so many people leaving and getting ready to go I don't want to miss saying goodbye to some of the guests and attendees.  I'll have more info on a sign up sheet at the bulletin board.  Rules are AD&D (mix of first and 2nd, basically if you played D&D pre-1999 you'll be fine).

Satan called. He's a little upset about the weather, but is going to make it.  He wanted to make sure myself and Lloyd Metcalf are still going to set the stage for the midnight auction, and of course we will...

It's about time to start gathering items for the trip. Other than 2 of each kind of animal, any suggestions?

With the numerous gaming celebrities there, what one item would you like to have them autograph? I might get escorted back to the state line if I bring 12 boxes of stuff for signatures.

Last time I attended in 2012, I brought the following for autographs:

A very nice copy of T1-4 Temple of Elemental Evil for Frank Mentzer to sign.
An equally nice 1st print Metamorphosis Alpha for James Ward to sign.
Deities & Demigods (with Cthulhu) which I got signed by James Ward, Jeff Dee and Erol Otus.
Gods, Demigods and Heroes and Blackmoor supplements for Tim Kask to sign.
Tome of Adventure Design for Matt Finch to sign.

At the Con I bought the black covered Dungeon Crawl Classics book and had Michael Curtis sign it and Matt Finch gave my son a copy of Swords & Wizardry core and signed it for him.

This year I'm thinking of bringing my new over-sized Metamorphosis Alpha by Goodman Games for James Ward and Michael Curtis to sign, the Mentzer basic and expert books for Frank to sign, and the B/X Moldvay basic and Marsh/Cook expert for Erol Otus to sign.  Other than that, I'm not sure what else.

For my event, Wednesday night (full)/ Thursday morning (seats available) - I'm giving the players two postcard art pieces I commissioned for the event (see below), by Peter Mullen and Matthew Adams.

I will have a few extra, so if you'd like one but can't participate in my event feel free to ask for one during the con.

See you there!

This is very disappointing . . . .

I've been pretty much completely off the Acaeum and gaming for the last six weeks or so due to massive amounts of work at the office.  I now need to fly to New York for work tomorrow, and there is no way I get to Texas before Friday.  So for the games I'm in on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning (like yours, Nick), I'm not going to be there.  Argh.

I am still scheduled to get to Dallas by Friday afternoon, so my EotD game Friday evening should be safe . . . but in case I can't make it, no worries:  there is a backup plan.   8)

Thanks Cs!

Sorry to hear you can't make it Bracton - I'll save you two prints anyway.  Hope to see you there!

Sorry to hear about all the work, but I am glad the EotD game is still a go.   :?

Hi Nick: I'd love to have a copy of each, if you'll have ones to spare, thanks ! =)

No rain has fallen since Saturday, and no rain is expected for the next ten days.  If you are flying in there's no problems. If you drive, avoid downtown Dallas or back roads. If a road is flooded out there will be a detour. Using a program like Waze should help you avoid any flooded areas.
