I was going to put a token 19.99 bid on the original but forgot about it. Saw it was relisted so I figured I would do it now....until I saw the BIN price was twice the starting bid (with no bids). Wonder if someone will actually buy it now

Where did the "employees only" statement come in that context vs. for the pewter face logo buckle, say? Someone had a US sales catalog, I believe, but no replies on that to reconfirm last time I asked...

I still don't know what to make of any premium from such, save for exceptional cases. There are quite a few "Collector's Trove" items that have resold for less than their original realization - and, in the context of belt buckles, there was only a small premium for Dave Sutherland's - for a somewhat better known name.
It would certainly be interesting to know what factors were driving the bidding, given that positive result.
