Now THIS one does indeed belong on these pages.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/D-D-TSR-2002-Original-White-Boxed-Set-9th-Prt-3-Supplements-Chainmail-OCE-/320778111143?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aafdd88a7

Starting Price of $349.99.

Yet another overpriced OD&D Set with supplements 1-2-3 (all w/Wizard Logo), and Chainmail (Silver; 3rd Ed, 8th Print)

Set includes the Reference Sheets, the Box has extensive water damage and light crushing, but all the books look minty.

Expensive at about three times suggested e-Bay price.

Nah... just a little overpriced these days on Ebay...

On a really good day:

150 for the OCE (even in its current condition), and

30 each for the four books = 270

Seriously... prices on the OCE's can be as cheap as 65, or as expensive as 200, depending on if someone gets into a bidding war.

I sent him a pm explaining this...

$300 shipping? So $11 a pop for each item at min bid. 90% of this looks like trash to common.

"Will not exceed $300 US".  I think the seller is just too lazy to check the actual cost.  But sure beats the estimate of $10,000 shipping to Canada.

The latest overpriced OCE set.

While possible the box was never opened, I somewhat doubt that.

Wow...$800

I wonder if what the seller means is that HE has never opened the box.  Or, maybe he just doesn't want to have to show what the booklets inside look like.

And yet a shrinked Geomorph goes for much less than otherwise would be expected:

If I had seen this, I might have bid the price up a bit....

2 of those were my fault and not totally WTF in terms of price.  I was just tired of missing them and this seller usually has accurate descriptions, so I figured why not.  Besides, I got the geos so it balanced out.  And I already snagged the mint copy of Space:1889 for like ... $5 so shipping was already paid for.  Yay.

The last 3 L1's have gone for over $70 a pop (I probably missed a couple though).  The I1 really made me scratch my head.  Shrug.

It must be because getting a boxed set with those contents is pretty rare ...

I got a chuckle out of this:

Especially the "Very good condition - may find some faint pencil markings" and $5.00 shipping parts.

OK  - We have an all-time winner in this category.  Or, at least in the sub-category of "Most Balls."

Sure, it's overpriced, but the bigger problem is the risk of not being able to return it in case of shipping damage...
