megnelwil wrote:Hi JG, how goes it? True enough, the distinction has been made based on log-in timings. And I guess a few may drop out so fifty might well prove to be a good estimate in the end. All I'm commenting on is the abuse of the term, "community", and of course everything I say is purely my opinion. I've no doubt any number of members here could commission their own project, but that would be a private matter and not allegedly related to the Acaeum "community".
Great idea Ben! Although I believe people should stop using the word, "community", in association with this project as clearly, given the arbitrary fifty run limit and a waiting list (you ARE joking, right?), this has nothing to do with community and everything to do with exclusivity - at the expense of at least seven legitimate Acaeum members. That, in my mind, sucks. "I wonder if The Acaeum as a group would be interested in a commissioned work by the artist Erol Otus?" The Acaeum as a group? Not quite, more accurately a group from the Acaeum. Changes the whole principle, does it not? No, I don't want one of the prints, just surprised to see seven 'members' singled out as being slightly less equal than the rest.
