It has really become a disincentive for me.The USPS is drowning in debt (they owe 15 billion dollars to the Treasury Department) and looking for any way to raise revenue, they have decided to pick on international buyer/sellers. Flat rate international envelopes are 20.95 to Canada and 23.95 to Europe/Australia. Flat rate boxes run $42/$62 for the same. It sucks, but to charge less is to lose money. Most people just don't want to deal with international shipping, I have had some great buyers overseas so I don't mind, but the shipping charges are out of hand. My Canadian buyers have dropped to about zero, not much more to other countries. And to make it worse, 1st class international is much cheaper and arrives at close to the same time, but is NOT considered a preferred shipping method by ebay, so they will not cover the seller should something happen to the package. JasonZavoda wrote in Annual Shipping Increase:Mike, do you know if you can still get tracking on media mail packages? (domestic USA).

(domestic USA).I know you asked Badmike, but I am fairly sure the answer is yes. If you buy it on-line when you ship your eBay packages, I think it's 19 cents. At the Post Office it is considerably more, about 59 cents.

It has been awhile since I've sold anything and it would certainly effect how I list some of the things I want to sell (like a couple of collections of Gor novels I've picked up recently).EDIT: And thanks for the response BJ.

JasonZavoda wrote in Annual Shipping Increase:As a side question, do you need a special printer to print the ebay offered mailing labels?
Gnat the Beggar wrote in Annual Shipping Increase:What is the going rate for shipping a (Domestic, USA to USA) Flat Rate Medium Box?
USPS-Produced Box: 13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" or 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
If you look at the listing you WILL see that I stated $20.00 shipping costs for the box set.If you look at the listings you will ALSO see that for each of the OTHER 3 items that you purchased I had shipping down as $6.95, $6.95, $6.95 for EACH one. I also stated I would combine shipping when possible. So if you want to complain you certainly may, but instead of charging you a total of $41.85 for shipping WHICH I COULD HAVE DONE under eBay rules I did not. Also, just to let you know, I actually ended up paying by WEIGHT to ship since I made up the shipping label without thinking about using a flat rate box. I did not think all the items would actually fit into it so I had it priced using a different box by weight. So you may see a flat rate box that is NOT what I actually paid to ship it to you at. It was just a box of convenience after printing and paying by weight for priority mail then finding out that they would fit into that box.so I ended up using it.
