I wonder if the 40th anniversary will be celebrated at the Con, or does Wizards even care?

Wizards cares but more importantly Gencon will care.   :D

I hope so.  I was hoping to see a focus on original game system gaming.  Well, hopefully you all will see it.   :(

I'll be there this year too. Missed Gary Con and NTRPG Con this year, so lots of gaming and late nights to catch up on!

I will be there as well.

Hi,

wish I was going - they have classes in making chainmail armour for your Teddy Bear this year!

Going to the World Science Fiction Convention instead.

Cheers,

Not sure about the Acaeum Dinner.  Bracton has taken that over and we have not heard from him.  Will send him a PM.

I'll be doing a one-day quick-hitter again, this year on the Thursday :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Sorry, thought I had only signed a two year contract to arrange the dinner.

Real life has been a bit challenging recently, but I'm happy to try to set something up.  We were at the Ratskeller last year, and it has the benefit of large rooms.  If anyone has a better idea, post it here . . . but if you do, you're also agreeing to see if they have availability for a group our size.  (I have a family member in the hospital, and will be traveling on business, so have fairly limited time available to do a lot of calling right now.)

Which also means that if you can attend the dinner . . . it would be Wednesday night . . . also post that here.  If we have at least eight who post in the next couple of days indicating that they will be able to attend, I'll get the reservation.

I know Tim doesn't care for German food and the room at the Ratskeller was to loud for him also. Make sure to contact Tim to invite him as it was assumed last time and he had to cancel previous plans to attend. Devon and I would eat just about anywhere but sometimes finding room for everyone at some places can be a challenge.

As I've never been to an Acaeum Gen Con dinner, and I'll be in town wednesday afternoon, count me in. I haven't seen Frank in quite a few years, and look forward to seeing everyone again. :)

I eat here pretty much every year:

Palomino Restaurant & Bar: Rustic European Menu. Happy Hour Everyday.

quality: Fogo De Chao
Indianapolis | Fogo de Chao

My friends Dave & Gary made a quantum leap in entertainment. Remember them.

OK, let's see.

ExTSR
Kaskoid
Increment
Blackmoor + 2
Zenfinite
Burntwires (2)
Prufrock
Bracton

Guess that's 11 so far.

Given Frank's recommendation, I'll try Palomino.  If you can make it, post here, and based on numbers by Saturday, I'll call and try to make a reservation.  Probably around 7 pm.

(And I'll make sure to let Tim know.)

Frank, Fogo is amazing!! Hands down a great place to eat. Expensive, but great. Unless you don't like meat.....then it's less great. Fortunately, meat is right up my alley. :)
