Sadly, I couldn't attend Gamehole this year (missed you all), but I was able to at least experience the auction, thanks to Frog Gods Games streaming!

https://www.facebook.com/frog.god.games ... 870087089/

The sale prices were really good, but there were a lot of rarer items, and some unique items as well.

Bill Meinhardt (stratochamp) did all of the appraisals, so you can pretty much guarantee they are accurate.

I think that the Brimstone was a steal at $500.  It probably would have been mine if I was there.  Only 50 of them were produced, and it will not be reprinted!

For those that were there, feel free to correct/update if I missed something.

US$20 - Even though it was in overall good shape there did not seem to be much interest due to staple rust. I bought it because it is B2 and...well...it's B2!  :D

I love my new R1-R4 set! :) Although I already have R1 and R2 signed so probably send a couple of these back into the wild or wait until next year's GHC auction. Nice to know the proceeds go to a good charity.

I would love to see a picture of it or if someone saw it could comment.  I'm curious if the shrink was loose or form fitted.   I've only seen loose fitted copies.  Sorry people, I have a problem... I'm trying to come to terms with it.    8)

If the new owner would like to PM me, I can let them know where to find #100 when it goes up for sale.  Probably a nice pair if someone was inclined :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

I donated two of the items on this list (not the big ticket stuff), but two others.  I love helping out the Children's Hospital especially as I have two kids of my own and I also have a nephew who had Stage 2 brain cancer "astrocytoma" or however it's spelled.  I have someone in my direct family who benefited from Children's Hospital.  I have no qualms about thinning out my collection to help a child in need through my favorite charity consistently doing these things: namely Gamehole.  I have donated the past three years and am looking ahead to year four.  I've only partially attended one of these despite being at Gamehole for all of the Acaeum auctions, but for me it's about two things.  1.) Watch the fireworks fly for items I'll never get to afford, and 2.) a small satisfaction knowing my donation helped some kid somewhere along the line.  In fact, I do keep up my collecting with an eye toward an item or two that will help this auction in the future.  I have very few things I want to buy yet for collector purposes and those are smaller scale than the big ticket items.  However, I must confess I do like seeing the big ticket items before they sell.

Damn, some really good stuff in that list. This con's auction items are simply the best list of rarities year after year.

It would be great if these events could somehow be capture on video for those of us not able to make it there.  Doesn't have to be professional grade, just something that won't make us motion sick when viewing.  :D  Today's handheld devices are more than capable of doing it.  Anyways, just throwing a thought out there.  On a much more serious note; A sick child is one of the worst things that can happen to parents... my daughter spent 5 weeks in the NICU after she was born... I will never forget the stuff I saw with regards to young ones being in there... My wife and I were one of the 'lucky ones'.  I wholeheartedly thank anyone who participates in such noble causes for children.  Thank you, mrmanowar.

Thanks Thunderdave, very cool.  The wrap on these older items seems more like saran wrap than today's plastic wrap.
