sauromatian wrote in Storm clouds on the horizon?:What is a softer category trend? Is it like the way soft-serve ice cream is softer than regular ice cream?
aia wrote in Storm clouds on the horizon?:who cares if Hasbro produces toys or mozzarella? What is important is the earning per share!
sauromatian wrote in Storm clouds on the horizon?:D&D-brand mozzarella sticks could ensure profitability during trying economic times. Consumers first use them as swords for live-action-roleplaying activities, with the soft pliability of the cheese preventing lawsuits & liabilities from accidental stabbings. Next, consumers eat the product, because the economy has collapsed & they're starving.

sauromatian wrote in Storm clouds on the horizon?:On second thought, maybe it's won't be such a bad thing if D&D's 50th-anniversary products consist of massive amounts of overstock items. A large-enough bundle of unsold products might need to be shrink wrapped. That is, wrapped with more shrink than you've ever seen in your life. All scrunched up the way shrink does, but massive. You could put your arms around it, or even cuddle with it. It might be the best way to exploit the fad for shrink. If shrink on a module is worth hundreds, shrink on a pallet-load will make collectibles speculators rich beyond their wildest dreams!
