Depends on the items for sale and whether you already have a group of repeat buyers who look out for your sales. If the items are common then auction is a risk, if they're sought after then auction is the best bet. If you need to protect the value of the items then BIN is expensive so a store is a good bet, provided you still put several items out for auction or BIN (preferably in different categories) to bring buyers into the store. Stores alone get very poor coverage in search. Stores are cheap but here in the UK auction listing fees are actually cheaper right now for the Christmas period, don't know if it's the same in Australia. BIN is a rip-off whichever way you cut it. FFV can't be avoided whatever the method and right now it's high.

Yes you retain your user name but you can also have any name for your store, eg. Store Name maintained by User Name. You can shut a store whenever you want without losing your user name.



To help with the pain of listing, use Turbo Lister (if you don't already) and set up an inventory. Hard work at the outset (still easier than via the ebay site) but gets easier and easier over time and eventually becomes very low maintenance. People here may also be able to give you an inventory import file that world give you a flying start, it's worth asking.
