Thread necromancy... to see if someone can definitively settle this.  Anyone have a SW copy of DL2 and/or DL3 look at to be sure which actually came with the map?

I don't have a shrink-wrapped DL2 or DL3, but the PDF version (for sale here) thinks the map belongs with DL3.

I don't see that mentioned in the notes on the page.  Have you purchased a copy, or do you see something I don't?

I assume you're kidding, but one should be able to just look in from the side and tell.

It will be good to have an authoritative answer, regardless of my needs, so yes, please do so.

Personally, I have auctions running, so for me it's time sensitive.

Pretty sure I have both in shrink, I will check when I get home...

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

while I don't have my DL3 in shrink, I am positive the one I own is the original one I purchased brand new back in the 80's. The map that I have with mine is 9132XXX0701 and is titled "The Lands of Abanasynia".

the module code obviously on the back of DL3 is 9131XXX1401

Yes, I bought the PDF and checked that the map was included in that, and not with the PDF of DL2.

Thanks.  Seems like DL3 is the answer.  I'll go with that for now, and eventually someone with SW copies can put the final nail in the coffin!

The map that came with DL3 is folded up and completely separate from/not attached to the module booklet. Hopefully it's apparent through the shrink like Historian said to see in the DL3 with the folded up map.

Nope, not in shrink. The map is with 9132. Hmm.

maybe there were multiple printings of DL2 and DL3 where they caught the error and fixed which module should get the map

Assuming we're talking about DL2 not DLA2-

We purchased DL2 Dragons of Flame when it came out back in 1984 and it did not have a map. I can also confirm that my shrink copy of the module does not include a map. I recall we played it and didn't need one.

I acquired DL3 Dragons of Hope as a used copy later, and it came with the map 9132XXX0701. My shrink copy of DL3 does include a map. I can't tell its number, of course.

I suspect, therefore, the code was a misprint. The map should be with DL3 with code 9131XXX0701.

Has anyone run this campaign recently? That might be a way to confirm if it's supposed to be in DL2 or DL3.

Yea that is what happens for only glancing at "Anyone have shrinked copies to check" and assuming it was a joke instead of reading the entire thread. -1 not paying attention.

I think that definitively settles it.  Thanks!
