You can offer anything, but can you *sell* it?  We'll see...

I think Australia should be called the country of silliest bidders at the moment. There are a few newbies (who have already racked up big feedback scores) who are in an RPG 'I want everything' collecting frenzy. There are usually 150 to 300 RPG items up at a time in Australia and over the past few months everything D&D seems to be going for ridiculously high prices.

He wants a minimum of $500.00 for everything.  It'll be worth that by the year 2100.  Just tell him to hang on the them for that long and he'll get his asking price. :P

Truth is worth finding and life is too short to work for money.

I love how after asking and being told by numerous people that its not worth anywhere more than $200 MAX, his response is simply:

"Eww,

I would accept $500 shipped at least"

Maybe someone would be better off telling him to wish in one hand, piss in the other and see which one fills up first.  :jocolor:

That thread just made my day....nice to wake up and see something funny like that right off, sort of like a "joke of the day" to cheer me up.  Ebay has only been around for, oh, I don't know, like a decade now?  Easiest thing in the world to go there and compare prices.

On the other hand, I've stumbled across a couple of forums in the past couple of years where there's been a post along the lines of "I'm getting rid of my old brown box D&D rules.  Anybody want it for $200?"  Followed a couple of lines later by "Thanks, it's been sold".

Let mirth prevail!

I saw this when it was first listed.  Considered posting it here, but thought I would spare you the indignity.

wow...it's a fun read but I don't think it's worth that much, lol.  I wonder what I could get them to pay for the whole set (White Plume Mountain, Against the Giants, Descent into the Depths (iirc), and Queen of the Demonweb).
