Ill admit, I am starting to think I can pick out OG and reshrink really well now. I know I need a better education on contemporary shrink methods and materials, but it appears to be challenging to reproduce OG because those materials and methods just arent available.

Ive opened four or five "shrink wrapped" items over the last few years. Each one looked good, until you had it in your hands. 10 out of 10 Acaeum members would have been able to tell they werent right. :)

However, I think we will be getting better faux reprints, reshrink etc over the next few years. It will get challenging.

Waynes_Books wrote in Shrinkwrap legitimacy.:I told him there was no way I could appraise a set in rewrap, w/o knowing what was inside.

If only Gollum had thought to say that, & had simply proceeded to eat Bilbo as he was legitimately entitled to do, it would have saved everyone a great deal of trouble down the line.
