I'll be talking to Rob about this again soon, Mike, since it looks like GC wants him to be a GoH again this year.  Hopefully we'll be able to get at least one more book produced by August, if not a few more, which would make the sales opportunity quite good (as it was last year too, of course).

Hey Mike, I found a few things that might make your drive to Indy a bit more pleasant.

Bacon Air Freshener:

Bacon flavored salt:

Bacon flavored mints:

Bacon flavored toothpicks:

And last but not least....bacon flavored beer (I have read it tastes a lot like bacon anyway   ):

Can't be any worse than the banana-nut beer you drank last year.

You just need to find cheeseburger scented/flavoured variants for all of those so he can combine them, and then he'll be set. :D

Don't overlook bacon chocolate.  It tastes much better than it sounds.

Update

There will be two games of 9 players each, so everyone will get a chance to roleplay.
(Three teams of 6 would be even better, but that may be too much for my schedule.)
I do plan on gaming in a Public Place. PR Signage is not out of the question.
(Anybody want to make a large "Acaeum" Banner?)
We should try to keep to convention "Slots", for various reasons.
I'm already booked for the evenings (Auction collectibles).

I thus propose game sessions in any two of the following:
Thurs 10-2 or 2-6
Fri 10-2 or 2-6
Sat 10-2 or 2-6
(Thurs 10-2 is prolly out, for the initial rush to the dealer room; I can run Sunday as well, but that's the Last Chance at the dealer room and many have to prepare to flee.)

For reasons mostly based on your own choice of PCs, the two player groups are as follows:

Green Team ("The Clever"): BadMike, Blackmoor, Bracton, DBartman, Kingofpain, Mad Hermit, NetRodent, Smarmy, Stratochamp

Red Team ("The Strong"): AdderMcOne, Bombadil, CSHobbies, Grodog, Killjoy, Lawrenson, Prufrock, Rabbit67, Yaya

Edit: I have emailed y'all separately for picking time slots. Feel free to discuss here tho.

F

Hi,

well, as a RED TEAM (Go the Reds!) member, I would prefer the early Friday slot.

I can work round the others, but my reasoning is:

Thurs & Sat are likely to be busy days in the Dealers room - so it will be easier for me to escape on Friday.

If the auctions run as last year, its likely the Missus will want to have at least a look at the CCG auction - which runs Friday afternoon.

First Choice : Friday 10 - 2
2nd Choice: Friday 2 - 6

Cheers,
Malc

I could do Friday.  Saturday seems better, but I will defer to Malc.  Actually, if Frank says we're playing Friday night at midnight I will be there.  So I guess anytime for me.

thursday is out for sure. me n the guys want to get in the dealer room and do some buying n stuff, as well as other things.

all evenings are out, as its auction time :)

which leaves afternoons.

for tegel manor, we are prb gonna need two sessions i would think to play it, so am thinking friday and saturday afternoon maybe for that. the guys that are going to be involved in this are: me (DM), badmike, prufrock, blackmoor, addermcone, kingofpain and stratochamp (altho am still awaiting confirmation whether william is still wanting to be involved in the game) - characters /sheets etc will have already been sorted, so we will be diving straight into the game pretty much.

so frank, the above will prb all need to play in the same session and you have them split equally on two teams just now, which might cause us all problems.....

any ideas guys?

i am open to this, which is why the input of all the others playing matters....

Al

Al, I have a crazy idea......

What about Sunday for Tegel?  As far as I know, myself, King, Blackmoor, Martin, Adder and Bill will ALL be in town Sunday afternoon/night. This may be a great time to just kick back, relax, have a few beers, and play without any distractions or time limits or anyone having anywhere else to be.  We could definitely get a table somewhere since a ton of people are leaving.  Give us time to sit around and shoot the bull as we go through your meatgrinder and all die horribly at the fangs of rabid shrews. Give it a thought.

Aside from the Thursday 10-2 and Friday 2-6 slots, when I am totally unavailable, I will make myself available for any of the slots.  My preferences for the Green Team session are as follows:

First Choice:  Saturday 10-2
Second Choice: Saturday 2-6
Third Choice: Thursday 2-6
Fourth Choice: Friday 10-2

I am unavailable for the Thursday 10-2 and Friday 2-6 slots.

I'll be around Wednesday and Sunday if those would be easier to schedule.

Oh Frank, your sense of humor is legendary.  And placing me in the group called "The Clever" is a supreme joke.  (Putting King in there is a giggle also, but let's not digress...). I've been DMing since 1979, with very little stints at actually playing, and everyone knows DM's are the worst players imaginable. I admit to being absolutely confused at any riddle or puzzle that can stump your average 3 year old.  Anything involving choosing the correct sequence, colors or buttons will confuse me more than the voting process in American Idol. I promise to be the absolute albatross on this team, and to die almost immediately.  Other than that, GO GREEN!!!

And just a note Frank, I think Centerstage might not be attending, and Grodog just announced somewhere else he might be skipping Gencon also....so we may have to shuffle teams around somewhat.  That might not be a bad idea actually if we somehow run into a scheduling snafu, then perhaps someone could switch from the Clever Group to Strong Group.  Not me though, with all those foreigners there, snacks are bound to be something unpleasant like vegemite sandwiches or haggis.....while we Greenies are chowing down on good old North American bacon cheesburgers and gravy & biscuits......!

I think King and I are pretty committed to a Saturday session also for Green, so that makes three who prefer a morning or afternoon session on Sat.
