I now know what dumbfounded feels like. It was really just a word till now. I looked at a dozen or so listings. I just stared for a while.

Looks like a couple of zeros added to the value of that lot.

Feel sorry for the seller, but that's not the way to sell that collection.  Absolutely no details, except for a few bad pics of dusty and well-used items.

I was thinking about sending him a message and see if he could check out here for advice.  Seller probably has no idea what they have and how much it is really worth.  Dealing with a loved ones belongings is hard enough, especially so after they are gone.

I've messaged the seller to see what all is included in the lot.  He did mention that there are other items that are not included - GURP and a Dragon Magazine collection.  I've requested that list, too.

I did as well Doug.  The seller mentioned that he is contemplating joining the forums here.  Hopefully he does and I would be interested in his list as well.

For about 7% of what he's asking for I'd think about buying it. It was purchased for $175,000 I believe.

Did anyone get a list from this seller? I messaged them but didn't get a response.

I believe people like this put outrageous prices on items just to get the buzz going. Ebay has the feature where you can pay a % of the sale to move your listing to the top. So even if he doesn't sell it, lots of people see it and talk about it.
It's the same as the idiots who ask $1 million for a Princess Diana Beanie Baby. I don't think people expect to ever realize their over inflated prices.
