We have 51 confirmed buys for this art project so far.  Just twenty-four more slots to go!   :)

I don't want to take up a desired spot.. but if it helps the cause, I can take 2 copies (I am already in for one, so a total of 2).

I can give one to my friend who runs AL tournaments as some kind of grand prize or whatnot.

Again, only if it helps the project.  I don't want to take up a slot that someone really wants.

May we assume a custom "Acaeum" styled adventure featuring a stated out Badmike to be included?  :P

2 quick questions:

1) Does the artwork require a license from WotC (or whomever)?  I ask mainly due to the last one being a Beholder.

2) Same question but on the mini-modules?  Or are they parodies of some sort?

We never procured a license from WotC because it's considered a work of fine art.  The courts have generally considered works of fine art to be expressions of the First Amendment rights of free speech, and thus immune from liability for violation of privacy or publicity rights.  Reproductions, like a limited edition, are considered a gray area, but are often allowed as an extension of an original artwork.  State laws vary.  Most courts consider such prints to be free speech just like the original artwork and thus, still immune from rights of privacy or publicity.  Another thing helping our cause is that we are not profiting from this venture.

There was only one mini-module created, and it was a bonus for the Easley painting.  The first artwork also had a bonus, but it was just a stat sheet for the monster featured in the painting.  The Elmore painting had no bonus because we couldn't/didn't come up with one.  I wrote the Easley mini-adventure and Badmike edited it.  It has references to people who participate often in the Acaeum community, so you could say it is a parody.  It was mostly a fun read and not an adventure to be played, although it's fully playable, even as a tournament adventure.   8)
