Do you know what was at 26 London Road between 1979 and 1986?  It’s a solicitors now and was a bookshop at ground floor with an office above at some point before that.

In another 50 years, people doing a similar search of today will be able to see all of this on Google Earth.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I remember it being a bookshop, Hammicks. That moved mid eighties (from memory) to another shop in the town. I don’t remember what was after that though, but presumably the registered office part for GW was upstairs.
I remember having to travel to Southampton though to buy miniatures and things from GW and that would’ve been mid to late 80’s so there wasn’t a store in Basingstoke then.

Then and now: 25 and 26 London Street. | Basingstoke Gazette

Still can’t see how your post after mine earlier made any sense. I may be missing your point, but it didn’t add anything that I see to the discussion really, other than are you suggesting it was put together by Joe public or not?

To me, this does seem to be a new printing boxset that hasn’t been covered by the Acaeum before and Foul is right to add it to the site, if for completeness if nothing else

It does need some more looking into for numbers, but the fact there are several of these lizard logo deep sides boxes with different modules in than expected, suggests it may be a UK produced item by TSR or something put together by GW.

Trying to find out which, would be the tricky bit now I think

Fair enough, I'll try rephrasing. What is it about any known set that differs from what is already at Basic Set Foreign ?

That helps, thank you

Your knowledge goes a million times beyond mine. I presumed from the initial posts that the FR modules weren’t standard and therefore it was different.
Initial looking now seems to show that the “new” boxset is potentially a 3rd or 4th UK boxset? I was running with what was being posted about new modules etc which weren’t in the original box sets

I will look at it more and try and be more educated, genuinely, thank you Sauro

** expired/removed eBay auction **
Is this one of the “new” ones of a 4th print?

Zero times a million is still zero. In what is now four pages of discussion, I've never had a clear idea of what is being claimed, & still do not.

I’m thinking the same now, having researched a bit more

After skimming back thru the posts, It looks like we were trying to determine if (in the UK) there was a holmes box set which had the second print US box but the UK blue book and B1 module.

That went for more than I was going to bid!
