Hello my poetic fellows, back to the harsh reality...

I reported the facts both here:
Report Mail Fraud & Postal Fraud | USPIS
and here:
ReportFraud.ftc.gov
I didn't report to FBI since the website of the second report should forward it to FBI...

I filed a claim on both ebay and paypal for a full refund.
What I haven't been able so far is report the scam to ebay... once I fill the form and send it I keep on receiving the same error message: "We ran into a problem. Please try again later." (the page is this one: Security Measure) Is there something wrong I did?

Now I am waiting a follow-up...

Needless to say: should you have other suggestions or hints, pls let me know!

That's comprehensive. The main other thing you can do is report the seller (not just the items) to eBay. The link is somewhat buried under Contact us or Help

Good news, Paypal wrote me that i can get a refund upon the return of the item. I will do that, needless to say!
No feedback/follow-up from law enforcement agencies... don't know if this is normal or not... maybe it's too early...

Law enforcement will be totally uninterested in this. Federal (FBI, Postal) won't bother until the fraud loss gets up north of half a million. Local police don't usually have the time or resources to investigate low-level fraud where the details are murky. And eBay doesn't care as long as they get their cut.

Ebay already ruled in my favor and my local police has been actively investigating another fraud case and updating me. It was for the same overall amount as what they potentially made on this one (based on the calculations by another member on this thread). I hear you but I think not reporting it is self-defeating. That said, one will pick their battles subject to available time and energy.

100% correct. I've been nearly out of "Fs" for years. The only thing I will give a "F" about is family, kids included but they get a special place, work and hobbies. :)

I started selling things on ebay in January too. Super fun.

Sorry to bring this back up, but they just opened a new store in my area. Its DutchBros. Their logo is a windmill. I couldnt believe my eyes. Corporate use only stickers..

Definitely looks like the windmill that was on the one label. This company sells coffee and some coffee associated products. I doesn't appear to be related to a company that produces stickers at all.

The "Corporate Use Only" label on the back of these stickers could have originally been from this company. It would have likely been used for their coffee related products, though.

The Dutch Bros Coffee company started in 1992, so if these labels/stickers were produced by them, that would further repudiate the claim that these stickers were from the 1980s.

Seeing that logo on a building, in my neighborhood, a couple months after all this, was crazy. I get a weekly reminder now. Its karma for starting this thread right? :)

Good news: i got a refund from paypal aaaand... i got a formal communication that a file has been opened based on my claim and an investigations has started! I have to be available for any clarification needed... (that is the trickiest part as i can image to be called in the middle of the night due to the time lag!)

So, once in his life, even foul can be wrong... :D
