Well the Colts have just gone 20-17 ahead and I won't be seeing the end of the game or MORE importantly, the Vikings game as inconsiderately it isn't starting on TV over here until 11.30pm...

Favre really isn't to blame imo. I never saw that many fumbles before. They at least recovered as many as they lost. It's pretty bad when the announcers are saying, "and he hung onto the ball" after every play the Vikings ran towards the end there. That was a bad pick at the end of regulation but I think they go into O.T. either way at that point.

If Favre doesn't try to be the hero there at the end, he scrambles 5-10 yards and Longwell kicks a 45 yarder to end it. Unfortunately Favre has been making bad pressure passes like that his entire career. No way they go into OT unless Favre melts down....as he did.

The fumbles got so bad I think the Saints hurt themselves at the end going for the strip and ball knock out instead of just tackling. 6 Fumbles? Ludicrous.  Even with that the Vikings Def and Off played well; the difference was Favre, and people forget he's lost as many big games as he's won in his career with his wild throwing ways (Right before the INT I turned to my wife and said "And Favre throws the pick", and he did, right on schedule). Now having said that, if Brees throws those kind of knuckleballs against the Colts Def, it'll be a Cowboys/Bills style blowout with Brees taking the Jim Kelly role.

Before you make your Vegas bet, consider that the Colts have been a strong 2nd half team, that our defense is so much faster than any defense the Saints have seen, that we have possibly the best QB in the history of the NFL, that for the fact that we rested our guys we would be 18-0, that the come back win over the Jets is the third largest lead overcome in the playoffs (the Colts hold the largest come-from-behind win in the playoffs over the Patriots (2006).

I must find some wall space to hang an original TSR related map.
