Poll: What kind of artwork would you have Erol Otus Commission for the Acaeum?

I have no interest in any Erol Otus artwork. 9%       9%  [ 11 ]

Erol will be signing the prints in-house.  As soon as Erol's finished, the prints will be packaged and shipped to Mike, then on to our members.

The four to six weeks is an estimate, because things do crop up.  That said, we'll update the thread as we know more.

benjoshua, to whom do I make out the credit-card order to on Paypal?

Is there a photo of the print in this thread and what size is it?

Would morning on March 5 (U.S. Mountain time) be OK to send payment?

And, what happened to everyone ahead of me--I thought I was about #80 or so on a list of 70.....

Here's the original message with the image.  The payment request is on page 43 of this thread. Go there to see how to pay.  Make sure your payment includes your Acaeum name.  Because other people dropped out, you were moved up the list to number 60, a nice number I might add.  Paying on the morning of March 5th would be perfect.  Thanks! :)

The EO Committee is very excited about this development! This beautiful print will be digital/giclee (pronounced gee-clay) and archival quality. The print will measure 15 1/2 x 24 on paper that is 22 x 28.  Each signed and numbered print will come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.  Badmike is handling all shipping and handling so you know it will arrive well-packed but will be insured just in case anything happens.  This project does not personally profit any member of the Acaeum Committee.  We are paying for each of our prints at the same cost expected of everyone else.

The cost per print will be higher than anticipated at $80.00. This does not include shipping and handling costs.  The committee did all it could to produce the highest quality print at the best price, and we believe, for a print of this size and quality, it's quite a bargain.  However, in order to assure that the EO Committee is not stuck with left-over prints, it is necessary to do a check on who is still willing to put their money where their mouth is.  Therefore, the EO Committee is requesting that each person on BOTH the Suave Seventy List AND the Newest Waiting List state again their intent to buy a print.  Once we have at least seventy responses total from both lists, we'll start accepting money, make the down-payment to the printer, and get the presses rolling.  We are unsure as to when the prints would be done, shipped to you, etc…but it could easily be a couple of months.  Do NOT send any money now!  The cost could change depending on the number of responses and other factors.

The EO Committee consists of grodog, PaulKM, Badmike and benjoshua.   We will not reveal the name of the printing company until after all prints are completed.  We request no private messages.  Any questions or concerns should be addressed on this thread.

Again, great news! If you are on either list, or even if you want to be on the list and are willing to pay, state your intent publicly on the thread as soon as possible.

IIRC:
The EO Committee needs the money to pay the printers before they can even have the prints printed....
Hence trying to get everyone to pay up as soon as possible.

The down payment to the printer has been paid, and the first proofs have been reviewed by the artist.  Minor corrections were required.  A second set of proofs will be forthcoming soon after which all the remaining prints will be printed.  After that, they have to be shipped to Badmike, so we're still looking at weeks before Badmike actually ships them out to everyone.  We'll keep everyone appraised as information come available.  Thanks for your patience!  8)

just got an email from paypal that my funds were returned.  looks like it's due to me "fat-fingering" the email address... so... funds resent!

btw- if there is an "ercer.edu", the fuller_cd there didn't want my money ;)

Erol has signed off on the proofs and the printing process will begin next week.  Printing everything will take several days, then Erol has to come to the printer to sign and number everything, and then they have to be packed up in a custom box, etc... The bottom line is that everything is moving along well, but it will still be a while before individual prints arrive.  We will continue to keep you updated. :)
