...for DM Magazine. We are mulling about a cover about professor MAR Barker and it would be great having an article about him and /or the universe he created. We are not up to the task, but we wouild love to give Tekumel some more exposure here. Is anybody willing to help us?

Good call, Ciro; thank you. :)

Aside from the obvious source, Jeff Berry has many wonderful anecdotes and goes way-back to the early days on the RPG side (see, for example, the interviews over on Chris Kutalik's blog).
If the worst comes to the worst, I still have the original "Tekumel" docs from 1949(?)/50 (as sent to Lin Carter) to back-fill the historical origins alongside the more-recent(!) translation of his world-creation into the RPG domain (EPT, etc.).

It's still rather embarrassing that the highest profile general press coverage over the years for his work (afaik) is still the article in Der Spiegel a couple of years ago ( http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/spielzeu ... 36,00.html / http://www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewt ... 84#p791084 ), so if you have any hooks into the general Italian press once you've published your article that would continue the non-US/UK trend.

Cheers,
David.

Well, my request was for somebody writing this article. About the 'mainstream' press, DM Magazine is a non profit, amateur publication about vintage games (or retrogames) so it's a very focused, special interest magazine

You should really contact Victor Raymond, Ciro:  he'll be able to hook you up, either personally or via a referral, I imagine:  http://sandboxofdoom.blogspot.com/

That would be the same Victor Raymond per the "obvious source", above. :)
(So long as you don't mind a bit of EPT date revisionism without evidence provided ^^).

Good luck and thanks again! Still up to my neck here; and knowing how long it took me to rewrite even the Wikipedia article... :?
