So here is my auction for an Australian G3:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

The buyer said this:
I can not find any reference to australia or any differences. Your listing said GOOFY and I have not been able to find anything different nor goofy about the module. I have found on items released in the UK that it is printed right on the cover. How can I tell that this is not just a used copy of the original. I will be sending it back to you. I expect a full refund of all moneys. Sorry for all this

I'll give him a refund with no hard feelings.

Do you guys think that my listing was mis-leading?

I bought your Aussie G1 from the same set... well... it was goofy... as you said.

Did you point him this website and the references ?... because at that price, it was a very good deal deal for him.

He doesn't really have grounds to return it, but it's probably not worth the fight either.


Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

It's GOOFY because some idiot laminated it, terribly reducing it's value to us collectors!!!   :roll:

Yes but that is clearly stated in the auction description and doesn't appear to be what the buyer is complaining about.

Oh sorry... you're right... and that shouldn't give the buyer a reason for a refund.

But it's still GOOFY... like putting on a pot of coffee at work this morning, and turning on the wrong heating plate underneath...  :lol:

The ebay buyer was " giantstu " I gave him a link to this site and he decided that the module in the auction was not an Australian version. So he gave me my first negative feedback.

Do not see how it is possible for the buyer to win any appeal you might launch.

But it is e-Bay... I lost an appeal against a seller who clearly screwed me over.
I even had pictures that I sent to e-Bay.
The seller not only won, but kept the money AND the product both!
And it was not a cheap item either... a complete Ptolus set for over $165 USD.

eBay shouldn't have allowed that, John:  when I went through my $1500 nightmare appeal, eBay ended up paying for the return shipping of the item, since they explicitly stated that it wouldn't be fair for me to have both the item and the refund of my $$$ (and this despite the fact that they guy refused the item when I shipped it back the first time!).  Anyway, that's not fair, and if this was still a recent transaction, you should escalate that within eBay's customer support organization.
