Now that I've gotten used to the ebay culture I thought I'd ask some questions of the Acaeum.
Packaging:
Currently my usual packaging is a magazine bag with a backing board inside a 12x9x2 box with large 1/2 inch bubble wrap. Or if it's a boxed set I put bubble wrap inside the box to prevent movement and then around the box in a 13x10x(2-4) box. How do you want your purchases packaged?
Shipping:
I've been offering economy shipping, but I've been getting dinged on "shipping time". Are you ok with 2-8 days or would you rather Priority shipping as the default?
Would you rather free media mail shipping with a slightly higher price or a lower price where you select your shipping options? Or a slightly higher price with free priority shipping?
Marketing/Other:
Do you want a packing slip?
Do you care about "extras" such as a free AD&D trading card, Spellfire card, or Brom art card?
Would you read flyers included in your purchase?
All Comments/suggestions appreciated.
Always ship an item protected against moisture and in a box. It is possible to make a flat box by simply using two pieces of thick cardboard.
I find that newspaper or pages from old phone books or text books make the best packing.
Always contact your buyer. This will give you an automatic 5 star rating for communication.
If you go the free shipping route you will get another automatic 5 star rating for shipping.
If you can ship within the estimated handling (3 day max) time you can get another automatic 5 star rating for shipping time. Actually, if you print a prepaid shipping label with tracking within your estimated handling time you get the auto 5 star whether you have actually shipped your item or not.
