Up at the top of your screen, in the site nav bar, you'll notice a new option: "eBay".  This will let you access your eBay watchlist from The Acaeum, in what (I hope you'll find) is a much nicer and more useful format than eBay's.

Clicking this new "eBay" button will bring you to a short descriptive screen, and at the bottom, "Press this to accept and sign in to eBay".  Pressing that will bring you securely to eBay itself, where you'll be required to sign in and authorize The Acaeum to begin displaying your watchlist.

As eBay will state, your eBay username and password are not transmitted to The Acaeum.  What is transmitted is a "token", which The Acaeum can send back to eBay in order to receive your watchlist, and then display it.  Your watchlist, nor any other information about you, is actually stored by The Acaeum -- the site retrieves this info live from eBay.  Your watchlist is only viewable by you, on your browser.  The authorization token is valid for 18 months, so you'll only need to do this step once; after 18 months, you'll need to sign in and authorize the site again.

I say all that to help alleviate privacy concerns you may have.  The only thing The Acaeum is storing is that authorization token and your sorting preferences.

Now, why would you bother viewing your watchlist here, instead of on eBay?

• Smooth integration with the site.  On the eBay auction preview blocks, there's an "Add to Watchlist" link; once you've authorized the watchlist display, clicking that link will automatically add that item to your watchlist, without opening up an eBay window or other distractions
  
  
• Much nicer, more compact display of your watchlist items.  Information you want is prominently displayed; other information is minimized or eliminated (like the feedback star... who cares?)
  
  
• The options you select for the sorting (All/Active/Complete items, Price Low/High, Time Ending Soonest/Latest) are remembered for the next session
  
  
• Completed items moved to the bottom and grayed out
  
  
• The ending time displayed is linked to the timezone you have set from your forum Profile; no more missing an auction ending because you forgot that eBay displays Pacific time
  
  
• A feature not available on eBay -- click a seller's feedback score, and it will display the seller's all-time feedback percentage.  A few years ago, eBay changed the way they show feedback percentage; now, negative feedback only affects your percentage if it was given in the past 12 months.  The percentage I can display is the old style, which uses a seller's total positive and negative feedback in the calculation
  
  
• Most importantly -- and the primary reason I wrote this mod -- is that by using your watchlist on The Acaeum, you're supporting this site!  By clicking on any eBay link on the forum, The Acaeum receives a small commission if you bid on or buy that item.  (The commission is taken from eBay's seller fees, so neither the buyer or the seller is paying any additional amount for this commission).  This was all working quite well until this past October, when eBay changed their system to only pay a commission if the visitor bid on or bought the item within one day of clicking the link.  Obviously, many of us view an item and then add it to our watchlist, with the intent of bidding at the last minute.  As that's usually more than a day after clicking the link, The Acaeum hasn't been receiving any commission from these items, even though (theoretically) it was this site that sent the buyer to eBay.  So in essence, eBay's been getting free advertising.  By using your watchlist here, however, when you go to bid at the last minute, that 24-hr counter is refreshed.

In any event, I hope you will give this new feature a try.  It costs you nothing, it adds utility and better integration with the forum, and you'll be financially supporting The Acaeum all in one swoop.

A couple further notes:

• Adding or removing items from your watchlist here will also affect your watchlist on eBay, and vice-versa.  The watchlists are one and the same.
  
  
• While viewing the watchlist page, the watchlist will auto-refresh once a minute.
  
  
• I wasn't able to display seller feedback percentages for all sellers at once; you need to click on a feedback score to display it for an individual seller.  The technical reason is that getting this feedback percentage requires a separate eBay API call for each seller, which would slow down the watchlist display immensely.
  
  
• In the next few days, I'm going to migrate some of the better display features from this over to the eBay preview blocks, which will make them a bit nicer to look at.

Yeah, eBay wants me to upload a "logo" there, and they limit the image to like 50 pixels wide.  So I uploaded the letter "A" logo.  I just now changed it to the "logo" from the top of the forum, which looks a little odd as it's 50 pixels wide, but I suppose it's more recognizable.

Good idea on the single-item-remove button; I'll look at implementing that.

Edit:  Interesting!:  so, when I opened the item from the Acaeum into a new tab in FF 26.0, I wasn't logged into eBay proper yet.  I kept refreshing the Acaeum-opened item tab, and I was still watching the item.  When I logged into eBay via a different tab, and refreshed the Acaeum-opened item tab, then the Watching status disappeared properly.  I'm not sure if this is a just a "getting my expectations in order with the API functionality" issue, or if you're able to tweak this further??

It sounds like foolishness on eBay's side.  When you add or delete an item to your watchlist on The Acaeum, the forum sends an API request to eBay basically saying "add (or delete) this item off grodog's watchlist".  Then we send a new request to eBay saying "show me grodog's watchlist".  So if it's displaying correctly on The Acaeum, by definition it's been updated correctly at eBay, since you're seeing what they sent back.

If eBay itself is slow on the refresh, that's something on their side.

When you click an item and go to eBay, you will not be logged in.  I will take a look and see if I can send the token along too, so you'll be logged in automatically, but I don't know if eBay allows that functionality.
