I really think this needs its own thread. $909?!?! Is this as valuable as a Tamo? A Pharaoh or Rahasia? A Fazzlewood? Wow. I think it went this high because the buyer thinks it's in the shrink, which, it is not. If the winner is somebody here (and it probably is) fess up. I know these are rare, but, wow. Almost a grand really surprised me.

Ninja edit: I agree, I bet the guy dumping cash to win most of this sellers stuff is going to be pissed when he sees most of it isn't shrink.

It's worth more than $35, that's not even an issue. I figured in the $400-$500 range personally, but I didn't bid, was just watching.

I jumped on a few of these from this seller when catching a round of items ending shortly after seeing them. There wasn't much time so I threw out a few bids. Afterwards I scanned the pictures more closely and didn't see any indications they were in shrink inside the comic bags. I messaged him and he generically stated that some were mail ordered items which didn't come in shrink and went straight into the comic bags then storage and others were purchased from retailers and are still in shrink. I scanned more of his items but still didn't see anything that showed shrink.

Overall most of the listings look rather pristine but I agree that I believe the bidders thought they were in shrink. Almost all of the ones listed as new and had the statement in the description that they included the "original wrapper" went for the upward trending shrink prices. I doubt they will be but I will report back if any of the ones listed as new that I receive are in shrink.

Not that scarce, nor old enough to support any supposed scarcity-enhanced value at that level.
Even a valuation above the (erroneously reduced as far as I could tell, but wasn't replied to) full, minty pads of 1976 character sheets (i.e. $299) seems crazy given the sub-£20 prices for AC5s slinking through the net over here.

It doesn't say if all the sheets are included or not. I don't know about anybody else, but, a single sheet missing or written in completely destroys the value for me. As far as stuff being priced well below actual value in a Buy It Now, of course that happens.

Faro, the next full set of that printing of AC5 you see go for sub 20 pounds on your side of the pond, PLEASE. Get it for me, I'll happily pay shipping and everything, even throw in a little finders fee for you. It's one of three things I need to finish my D&D product line.

Jason,

My thoughts exactly - I watched his auctions for weeks afterwards and saw nothing like it (of course, he may have sold it via another channel).

I was extremely harsh with him, and he apologised profusely - he refunded my money immediately so I basically let it go. If you recall, I had posted on these forums a generic message about a buyer backing out after sending me the tracking info , etc... I think you even commented on it as well.

Oh well, what can you do?

No, just something close. I realize that many consider reference/char sheet collectible if complete - I don't mind if they are missing a few pages or have all pages with writing on some/all of them. I'm not too picky with these types of books generally.

Edit: Scratch that I realize you are referring to the other listing. I grabbed a few of these for more than they were worth that is for sure...he better not back out or I guess if he does I can get a few bucks back.

Ditto. Although the copy of DA3 is probably the finest module ive ever seen. It looks like it just came off the press. At least the seller had good communication and offered a partial refund without me even asking so I won't complain.

I told the seller if the buyer of AC5 was pissed and didn't want it I'd take it...lol. He said they negotiated to about half so for the record it didn't sell for 900.

It contains 16 character sheets (each one has a front and back) so 32 pages + cover.
