Heh, reminds me of many years ago a friend of mine won a bunch of Dungeon magazines in a lot on ebay (this was a long time ago, before you were required to have pictures for items).  Before the seller ships them, he sends my friend a message "Oh, all the covers aren't attached, will that be a problem?"

I remember getting an early print of a 1st edition PHB.  It arrived and I opened the package and my heart sank.  It looked like the previous owner had covered the outside of the book with clear shelf paper that had now yellowed with age.  Lucky for me, it was only a plastic book cover that was removed with easy.

Maybe it's just me.  I received a non-Cthulhu D&D from a "bay" auction.  The book is in pretty good shape, except for being WARPED.  It will not lay flat, like its been twisted (or stored on something uneven for a very long time).

I haven't bought a gaming stuff on the "bay" until recently.  I must be older and more finicky these days.
