Hey everyone,

I may have come across an alternate first printing of X1 - Isle of Dread. I have two copies that are first printing according to the collector's guide, but I have not some extremely subtle differences between them, most notably one of them is 3mm taller than the other. I don't think I would have noticed, but the taller one does not fit in the Expert Set First Printing (light blue) box! I have a 2nd printing of X1, and it is also 3mm taller.

Anyway, here's the differences I've noticed:

X1 - A:

* 3mm taller than B
* Ink in booklet is very slightly lighter than B
* Perforation on page 13 is 9mm out from spine
* Page 19 is not perforated

X1 - B:

* 3mm shorter than A
* Ink in booklet is very slightly darker than A
* Perforation on page 13 is 4mm out from the spine (and not as well cut as A is)
* Page 19 is perforated 6mm out from spine

Aside from that, I can't see any other differences.

Has anyone noticed this too?

Also noticed that version my second printing of X1 is 3mm taller than A! It's like they grew as the years went on  :D

Cheers,

Richard

Do both printings have the erroneous product code & copyright date? I had a taller copy with these errors.

there was a thread that I can't seem to find where someone (maybe Mars or Deimos ...completely guessing here) posted a photo of a complete set of X1 printings, and there were way more than four in the shot.

Crazy! No idea that there were so many printings. Should there be a note about it on the module page here: Expert Series ?

I had six different printings at one time, not surprised there are more...
