This came up a week ago on The Miniatures Page Market -

[TMP] "Original Dungeon and Dragons" Topic

"I am selling a complete set of original Dungeon and Dragons. It includes the original 3 volume set plus the 4 Supplements and the mass battle system. Truly a one of kind find these days. The volumes vary from good to excellent condition.

$100 USD for the set plus shipping. "

In the further discussion the seller noted that he had lost the original wood grain box but didn't indicate the printing.

He did note that he got the supplements in 1976.

I was busy missed his reply about the box, but he noted it was probably sold at theat tme anyway.

At this time I guess i am just curious as to how good (or not) a deal the Aussie who bought it got.

Just looking at the supplements it looks like he did well (thinking maybe I should have asked about the printings when I first saw it, water under the bridge).

Looking at the Men & Magic book in the picture - this set of books came in a white box (not a woodgrain box) so you can breath a big sigh of relief there. Also it looks like it is missing the reference sheets. If it was purchased in 1976 this is probably a 5th print (but sometimes memories get muddled) - "The three came in a wooden box" - "wooden"?

Nice that all the supplements are there but they show some wear and Eldritch has a lot of staple rust. Greyhawk isn't a first. The seller could have easily check the others - printing is listed in the 1st page.

I would probably value the lot around $150-$175
