I have a Chainmail 3rd Edition 2nd print and it uses the "old-style" TSR typeface (with o-shaped lowercase As--same as that used in the 1st thru 4th print OD&D sets).
I also have a Chainmail PDF which looks very much like my hard copy, except that:
-- it is missing the crucial copyright page, and
-- it uses the "new-style" TSR typeface (with upside-down-e-shaped lowercase As--same as that used in the 5th thru 6th/7th print OD&D sets).
I suspect the PDF might be of a Second+ (July 1975) print, but the
Chainmail index doesn't mention any change in typeface.
Can anyone confirm which typeface the second+ print of the 3rd edition has?
