Acaeumites -

For your viewing pleasure, please see the mock up below of the Acaeum logo as a custom 2" CloisonnÃ© lapel pin. The quotes below include the production of pin and the jewelry clutch (which I am told is the best way to secure the pin) and delivery to one address.

200 pins; $3.94 each / $788 for the entire order
150 pins; $4.44 each / $666 for the entire order
100 pins; $4.44 each / $444 for the entire order

With all that said, I'd like to know who would be interested in ordering pins (and how many).
As a gesture of support for the site and community I'd like to charge $10 per pin (and provide the profits directly to Foul to cover expenses related to the site, etc).

Unfortunately, their minimum order is 100; however, if we can garner enough interest (and meet the minimum order of 100), we can have them by NTRPG Con.

Great idea. I'm in for buying one and helping in any way.

When I go to Oracle conferences, I have extra tags on my badge for certifications, etc. so I like this idea for sure.

What if we got someone like Tom Wham to draw a small picture for the button with our Acaeum names too?

Jeff is being Faroesque with his opaque reference: back in 2006, when Frank ran an Acaeum members only Empyrea adventure, he had Tom make up Acaeum badges for us.

Upon reading the subject, my first thought was a small cloisonne pin, that I could add to a convention badge. Perhaps the site logo, or even just the capital A?

The Empyrea game I remember was in 2008, and I don't remember any Tom Wham badges. :-?

In any case, I would definitely be in for an Acaeum pin.

It was 2008, I apologize. I was looking at my acaeum stratochamp button, and tom's art on the button is copyright 2006. you know what they say about assumptions.

funny that badmike is holding up a single digit in the picture; iirc our team won the competition by one point.

Holy shit I think I've gained 100 lbs since then...

you might be right. I had thought Frank announced it with much fanfare during the auction with all of us assembled there, but maybe we had already known.

So would the preference be "Acaeum" or just the A in the word? Or something else? I can work on getting some quotes.
