Okay, as EBay is getting on my nerves more and more, I'm wondering of other places to sell off RPG material.

Of course, there's the classifieds here and on dragonsfoot. I probably have sold just about as much if not more on both these as I have on EBay. I've been on RPGMarketplace before, but not recently (the site appears to be down as I type). ENWorld and RPGGeek seem to have marketplaces, but quite small. I don't know if it would be worth the effort to sign up with either. WotC doesn't look to have a classifieds section at all as far as I can tell, just one for meetups/online gaming.

Anywhere else?

Any local game conventions you can work? Ive had a blast working cons. Also, Facebook has an RPG Auctions page, its a good group but there are a few limitations. Im slowly moving away from eBay also and hope to sell more via face to face, game cons and facebook.

I just finished selling a ton of stuff via specific forums (here, DF, etc.), then ebay, then dumping the balance at NKG. If I were to do it again (no thanks!), I'd add facebook auctions into the mix.

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

Hadn't thought of cons. A cursory look about doesn't reveal much in the Baltimore area, though. Guns of August in PA might be a possibility, but it seems I just missed that opportunity.

Facebook is not on my radar. Not there, not planning to be.

I've never understood why people (not just here) are anti-ebay. I've been selling various junk since 2000. Yes they have fees, paypal has fees. You get the occasional non-paying bidder. Or someone wants to return something.

All in all, being able to reach thousands if not tens of thousands of potential customers is a big plus. And getting offers of 1000 free BIN listings every month isn't bad either. That's $300 saved on listing fees!! Customer service has always taken care of any problems I've had.

It also helps that I don't sell just RPG items but sell a plethora of general crap as well. Lol

Are the facebook sales protected by PayPal? I've not really done much research into the facebook boards. Plus I'm guessing the number of members is relatively small.

Anyhoo, Ebay works for me. But that's just my 2 cents

For a good while, they were on 50 free listings per month. For my ability to get stuff up and running on my schedule, not bad. Then they went with 100. For me even better, as I could cycle through non-selling items more frequently so they don't drop off the radar. Now, they're on 20 per month (20 more in certain categories). As I'm dependent on the library for internet access, their myth of 1000 free listings doesn't work so well. I'm not there every day, and the hours are limited.

I say myth because the last offer that showed up (and they've been few) a couple weeks ago suddenly disappeared from my email the day I was about to activate it and put up a bunch of new items. Screwed my day up. An EBay store won't work for me either due to my limited access, let alone any other cause. That's one reason I cannot do BINs with any reasonable time from bid to post office. It's tricky with auctions as it is.

Anyhoo, the thought of Flea Markets might work. I'll have to look into that.

having limited internet access like you describe would really suck. whenever they send out the 1000 free listings I just setup TurboLister to upload for several hours

I have had messages from them disappear as well. I do know the promos they send have a very limited time offer on them. 3-5 days iirc. I usually get the 1000 free BIN listings every month. sometimes another 500 on top of that. maybe it has to do with my seller status and rankings? I don't have a storefront, never have.

I thought it was free to list auction style listings now? they do change things up frequently.

Hopefully you'll find an outlet that works for you.

Sorry i am well aware that d20 stuff is kinda out of topic here, but is there any marketplace where the audience for such a lie of products is broader? I know enworld only... any other community?
