With all the horror stories and frankly jacked up prices I'm seeing on eBay these days, I've really just given up on purchasing off eBay for anything these days unless it's something I can't find anywhere else. I have found, however, that the Facebook RPG auction groups are fair on pricing, the sellers are awesome (*waves to Bamajon*) and I trust the sellers/buyers more on there because it feels more like a community of like-minded people instead of a group of individuals out to make a buck or two off something found in an attic or being flipped for a profit. Thoughts?

I've had good luck with the RPG Auctions group, sellers have been great. I've only had a few transactions in Role Playing Games & Minatures (Sales & Trade). I think these (and other groups) are very viable alternatives to eBay.

I've used both as well - but personally, I prefer eBay. If I'm going to abandon brick-and-mortar, then I want to reach as large of an audience as possible. Outside of audience scope, I found that Facebook auctions' browsing interface (which is simply Facebook string browsing) cumbersome and semi-confusing (which may say more about my simplicity than anything else :-)

Ya, same here... I still do Feebay on occasion but RPG Auctions, Friendly RPG Trade and Sale, Role Playing Games & Miniatures (Sales & Trades ), and a few others are my go to. I have done many private buys/sells just from the guys in those groups! Class acts for the most part, Probably spent 20k plus there last year (I am know for mixing my whiskey and purchases....not a good combo

) ... btw, I'm Matt Roberts for those here that are on those groups

My experience has been:
- able to view products, good products available, good prices, and good communications: Ebay
- unable to view products, no idea what is available, no idea on prices, no communications, no response to request to join: Facebook
