All,

As you know, last year, Gamehole Con held an Acaeum Collector's Auction which benefited the Acaeum.  As Gamehole Con only charges 15% to sellers, it is an attractive auction for both buying and selling.  We would like to participate again, but we will need a point volunteer to help administer the actual running of the auction.  The Director of Gamehole Con, Alex Kammer, an Acaeum member, is willing to help, but his duties as show director make taking this project on alone too much.  Your duties as our point volunteer would be to help promote and administer the auction.  Frank Mentzer will be MCing the auction again this year.  The auction itself takes place on the Saturday night of the convention, November 4th, at 8 pm.

Gamehole Con itself is the largest tabletop gaming convention in the midwest, and quickly becoming one of the largest in the United States.  It runs from Nov 2nd - 5th at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

Last year, the auction brought in some much-needed funding for the site (half of the 15% seller fee is donated to The Acaeum).  Many of the top collectors in the field were at the auction, and more rares were sold (by far!) than at the GenCon auction.  We'd like to get a great showing again this year.

If you'd be interested in helping out (multiple volunteers will work, too!), please contact Alex directly via site PM.  And regardless, we'd love to see you all there in November!

I graded all of the items for the con last year to save Frank the time of having to inspect all of them minutely as they were being auctioned. There certainly were more rares than in the GenCon auction, including a nice 2nd print brown box and several other very unusual and in some cases unique items. Please join us if you are able!

Once Bill settled down and stopped leading the wild & crazy life, he & family started coming to GenCon, and he started grading the collectibles for us.

That's turned into a nice support system on many fronts. :)

My friends Dave & Gary made a quantum leap in entertainment. Remember them.
