Welcome unclejeffie!  Lots of buyers like yourself have come to us to ask our opinions on value.  If you do a little searching of this site, you can see how we have advised similar buyers.   Skullhammer is right about checking what similar items have sold for on eBay.  Just log in to eBay, or create an account, enter the name of the item in the search box, click enter, and then click on the "sold" check box on the left-hand side of the page.  You'll be able to see what items with that title sold for over the past ninety days.  You'll notice nicer condition items sell for more and poor condition items sell for less.  The reputation of the seller often matters as does shipping costs and other factors.  If you cannot find any recently sold items, take a picture or two of that item and show it to us and we'll likely be able to give you a good idea of value.  Again, welcome!

Should I keep the sourcebooks - adventures - encyclopedia magica for 5th edition or just stick to ad&d 2nd ed?

Sell it all on ebay and acquire and start playing 1e Ad&d.
