Before that, he pages through a copy of owl & weasel #1, their  newsletter that gave them the contact to Gary Gygax, and then a photo of Gygax is shown. The box is probably a fifth print, but I guess we will never know, as tearing up that perfectly-preserved shrinkwrap would be a sacrilege.  :D

I was just over at Ian's house on Monday. We cracked open a few old boxes in his office. He has quite a bit of early Games Workshop ephemera there still, including his first dungeon, lots of early catalogs and flyers, great Fighting Fantasy manuscripts, a few of those O&Ws, and some cool Games Workshop OD&D character sheets like these:



And yes, that nice white box in the shrink. He said that a lot of people are interviewing him about the early days of D&D given the tremendous surge in the game's popularity in just the last year. I believe it!

EDIT: If even the BBC took notice, then it is something more than just a footnote in history. Nice to see that the hobby is slowly becoming more "mainstream", and not something only weird freaks play.
