Was slightly optimistic that I might snag this at £1375 but there were others who wanted it more! ... and to be fair I was looking to fill some gaps rather than get the whole lot. But the letter would have been nice. Congrats if it was someone here :)

And the first couple of lines of issue 1 sums it up!  Mr Livingstone had the right idea:)

If you didn't already have #9, what would've been the point? ;)

Who was it that snagged a set of these at the GenCon auction a few years ago for a ridiculously low price, like $50-100? It was someone here.

The GenCon price was $300. If I remember right.

Do you stop bidding just because you don't have any more money? That's your problem right there!

I am pretty sure this will be the ARGH!! Just Missed! listing of 2019.

Yet another reason to despise EBay.

Came across this lot, and instantly went for the BIN, as it seemed a good deal all things considered.

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Hit the BIN button, and got transferred to the checkout. When I went to the PayPal button, EBay deemed it necessary to verify my ID by having them call my phone, at 10PM. While I was busy seeing if I could find an alternative (like logging in to PP first, then trying again) to prevent EBay from waking everyone up, someone else snagged the listing, which I was under the assumption could not happen if one hit the BIN already.

As I was typing this, the thought occurs that maybe the reason for the verification was that I was second on the BIN?  :?
