Guys, any recommendations for 3D scanners for scanning in figurines?

I really want to get one, but the quality scans I've seen only come with a price tag of multiple hundreds of dollars, so no 3D scanner for me.

You can get a quality scan from a smartphone app, but it needs: 1) a stable base for the phone, 2) a perfectly centered model on a turntable, and 3) takes a long time per figure/model.

See, there's my Achilles heel. I've been in IT professionally since 1995 and because I despise phones and social media I forget the motto "There's an app for that".
I'll start there. The worst that happens is the resolution isn't good enough, right? And for the record, several hundreds was already a given I assumed, I'm OK with that.

Moderately priced 3D scanners have a long way to go before they are at a level that would be satisfactory when compared to traditional, high end systems.  If you would be willing to spend $1500+ then you can get into something that will be much more satisfying.

If you want to try something that is relatively inexpensive, consider the following:

DIY:

Xbox One Kinect Sensor
Newerpoint 360 Degree Electric Rotating Turntable
Microsoft 3D Scan Software

Here are a couple of "complete" kits which cost more, but are still reasonable compared to the traditional 3D scanners:

Matter & Form MfFS1V2 3D Scanner V2 +Quickscan

SOL 3D Scanner

I don't have any of these system personally, as we use considerably more expensive 3D scanning/printing systems at my company, but these are options that I've looked at that might work for you.
