Do these have barcodes on the back cover?  Or some other identifier?

Besides quality issues (scanning borders at the edge of some pages, etc.), it is square (perfect) bound.

Am i wrong or this is an illegal sale? I checked randomly other items of the seller and found the same story/description... (For instance X10 has even the counters printed on one page!)

This is a "shady dealer"... He should be reported to ebay and to wotc since they are still selling POD products...

If you can buy most of these things newly printed on demand, then there is no reason why you can't sell them either unless you can prove the guy printed it himself in his basement. It could be from the likes of RPGDrivethru or one of the other resellers selling POD TSR D&D, and if that's the case then there isn't anything I can see that's illegal. If someone is dumb enough to spend $40 on something you could buy from another source for maybe $8, then maybe that's a learning experience.

The pdfs of these for sale by WotC are watermarked, not sure how easy it is to remove that, but if those are not present, maybe one can assume that it is the POD version, purchased legitimately.  (That is giving the seller all benefit of the doubt).  That would be ok to resell IMO.

Not worth $40 though, you can get both a POD and pdf from drivethrurpg for probably less than half that price.
