Hey Fellow Acaeumites

Well I finally got off my butt and listed a slug of impressive D&D Collectors Items on Ebay

Many of these items are extras in my collection I have been waiting years (even a decade on some) to trade for items on my ever shrinking want list. I thought it was a good time to let it go for cash (which is always better to trade with LOL)

Anyway there are 85 items up for auction; each item is a serious collectable, some of the rarest and most desirable collectable D&D items. I even threw in few Manuscripts to make it memorable

Limited Modules, rare items, the biggest auction of this type this year.

Not to much really, some shrink items (S3 1st print in Mint shrink anybody

) Wild hunt #1,3,8,9 Better looking Australian Modules (I have them but they are rather beat up LOL)

Maybe John Huck' has them coming up for sale? PM him. He used to have a fairly extensive collection and he tended to stick to the TSR stuff IIRC.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Congratulations Jeff! I would think that surpassed your expectations. I helped you some, but I didn't really need another Tamoachan (10,000!) or Woodgrain (14,000) but those auctions didn't need any help. Merry Christmas!

Nice haul Jeff. Made me realize just how much the prices have skyrocketed over the last few years since I curtailed my collecting habit. Tried to nab a few of the less expensive items and still found my bids woefully short of the mark.

Definitely - congrats Jeff! Even us po folk enjoyed a nice Sunday's night entertainment lol!

I so wanted to do a poll, like what was done on that woodie last year. Didn't want to take a chance messing with your outcomes.

Did do a list of predictions anyway. Pretty much 10-20% over my estimates all around with these exceptions.

Really was hoping to see an upset on the LOST TOMOACHAN vs WOODIE. I had it $14k - $11K. I really was seeing the interest go the other way, that's how ya learn though.

Wow on the Dwarven Glory listings, those were big misses by me. The Dungeoneers I forgot to make a guess on, but that looks right (as he tears up a little because he didn't jump at his set when he had the chance boo hoo lol)

The Market looks great, especially right before Christmas. Awesome!

Did anyone else think this? I assumed at least a few of Jeff's BINs would go to, just because of expensive Canadian shipping. (no reflection on Jeff meant with that comment)

Hey Guys

Thanks for all the well wishers, I am currently up to my elbows in packages LOL

I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome of the auction. Many items went for record prices (14K for a 2nd woody WOW), I watch the finale like many of you here and the numbers kept getting higher, almost surreal. These prices may draw more out of the woodwork

Biggest surprise for me was the Dungeoneers Fanzines going for $1200+

I was predicting the 2nd Woody at $9,000 and the Tamo at $8,000, they are both high grade and I thought that was the top.

This was a very exciting night for me, one of the best in my collecting career to be honest. Now I have tons of dough to buy other stuff !!

Here are some of the pitfalls:

85 packages is a shit ton of work
PayPal thinks I am a gangster and suspended my account while they sort this out LOL, I can receive money but not take it out....
eBay says I sold to much and wont let me list anything else this month

Also some of my other rare items are looking nervous (they like there home in my place with there rare friends) so I am assuring them this wont happen again (unless they duplicate themselves :lol:

Again, like in the past, the small print items are by far more interesting than the super rares...

I only kindly ask youfor future listing to accept bids also from outside the US, so that i can be part of it!

Congrats Jeff!

Some of those Dungeoneer's were on my hit list. I'm not surprised at what that lot went for. If you would have had #1 in there, I suspect it would have gone for a lot more!

Your woody and the Tamoachan were in great shape, so it was inevitable that they would go for a lot, but those prices were unexpected. Given how infrequent copies like this come up anymore, it's probably going to be more of the norm in the future.

Yes, eBay has an interesting policy when it comes to selling limits per month. I'm surprised that your limit was that low, given that you have been selling on eBay for a while. Oh well, you should be able to request an increase.
