Its a third print with Horizontal grain? I know just about anything could have happened, but thats different right?

I did message them, saying more than 3 pictures would be nice. I may have mentioned a ballpark value as well to justify the extra pictures.

Surely a true blow slides between gaps in the armour and therefore rings not at all?

Just pondering. Sorry folks for burying a different discussion in this thread.

With some quick math, that would be about a 60% appreciation a year Tszil. I really thought the current price trajectory would begin to moderate by now with how the world's inflation is biting people. I think next year will be very telling with what all the pundits in media are saying. People are still spending money on this stuff and the asking prices of sellers are not abating either. I was reading that the safest havens right now for people's money are in the art and collectibles spaces so here we are. In 10-20 years when many of us are deciding what to do with our collecting legacy (the rooms, shelves, and closets filled with books), it will be interesting how the newest generation of D&D players/collectors will view the 'old' stuff when it comes to their spending in the future. Will they drive prices even higher? Retirement is just around the corner for many of us and hard decisions will start being made about 'cashing out'. The current rise in valuations that has been running for years now, is not making the decision any easier.

I've often thought the trajectory of prices (not necessarily the prices themselves) of comic books should give optimism on where the D&D market is headed. Nobody living today was around when the first comic books were being bought and read. But comic books, like role-playing games, have continued to the modern era in different iterations. Wealthy collectors are still buying the "old stuff" for high prices, even though that stuff is barely recognizable (or even interesting to read) today.
