As mentioned before, I'm a grader at CGC and primary person for entering Dungeons & Dragons information in our database. We've been seeing an uptick of submissions of Dragons. I've seen several copies of the first 10 issues in the past couple of weeks.
Recently we received a request to put the information on our label about the first mention of Raistlin and Caramon in fiction to issue #83. I was unsure if this was true and so contacted Margaret Weis directly to find out. To my surprise, she responded back to me within 1 hour confirming that this was the first time they were mentioned. The story is called Time of the Twins. I always loved this issue for the Baba Yaga adventure.
We're about to make a major announcement about submitting D&D and other
RPG items within the next couple of weeks. I believe now is the time that these items will command much higher prices. So those of you who have purchased collections all these years with all those duplicates, now may be the time to get them graded and make a little money.
I've always loved the classic D&D game and played the most during the 1980s. I still own all my original rulebooks and modules along with my entire Dragon collection. I started with #74 and stopped about the year 2000. Since then, I have acquired several earlier issues along with those later ones after I stopped. I also still have my Dungeon magazines from issue #1 until about the same time period. I truly miss the good 'ol days.
