I just acquired what I think is a first printing of this book. Does anyone have a copy that can share a picture of the copyright page? I work for CGC as a grader and have mentioned in a couple of other posts that I'm the primary person for putting all Dungeons and Dragons items into our system for grading and encapsulation. I plan on grading the copy I own, which is on its way to me. I don't want to be wrong on this that it isn't a legitimate copy. Doing research here says there is no month/date on the first printing. My main concern is that the "printed in the U.S.A" has a lower case "p" in "printed". It seems other printings have a capital "P". I appreciate all the help given so far and anything I ask in the future. I will own 7 of the 8 original D&D rulebooks hoping to acquire the last in a few days. They are various printings, but I'm happy to even acquire any copy. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike. After reading about the Eldritch on here, it seems that also had lower case. I feel confident this is a genuine 1st print. I just wondered why the price I paid seemed a bit low compared to what I see is being asked for later printings. This particular book has not been graded by CGC so I want to make sure I'm accurate when I add it to our database. I plan on grading all my original rulebooks soon.

I'm assuming the Eldritch will be similar. So far we haven't gotten 1st printings of the original rulebooks to grade. Though a few years ago, I think someone may have submitted 1st printings of the 3 originals and the company at that time chose not to grade them. I briefly saw them but was not the key person on doing research or making the decision on whether they were real. Now if they are submitted, there should be no problem grading and encapsulating them. The only thing we didn't encapsulate that I know was decided was the sheets that came loose with the boxed sets. There was no way to determine printing and possibly could just be photocopied. Any legit rulebooks will be graded now.
