Hi everyone,

I know that the gaming contents of each printing of each D&D boxed set has been thoroughly researched, but I’m wondering if anyone has any conclusive research into which TSR advertising flyers/inserts were included with each boxed set?

I’m talking things like flyers urging players to join the RPGA, self-addressed envelopes to the RPGA or TSR, mail-in response postcards, catalogs like the Gateway to Adventure, and so on.

I’m asking because I’m sorting through a collection I bought and the previous owner didn’t seem to have much rhyme or reason as to which box sets he stored these things in, and it’s driving me nuts!

Cheers in advance for any assistance,
JohnH aka WanderingMonster

I've done an excel file breakdown of the items I have regarding such things along with other stuff. If I knew what box sets you had I could compile a list for you.

I think the flyer advertisements for the Dragon Magazine subscriptions changed over the years, even for the same boxset (but obviously a later printing).

Only one I can confirm with what you listed is the Masters set 1st print (2nd print has price of 15.00 and codes on both bottom and top lids) came with a 1985 TSR Mags insert card and 1984 RPGA flyer.
