Hello everyone!

I'm John, gamer friends call me Starhawk.  So, my nickname originated in 1981 or so when I played a Fighter-turned-Paladin named "Starhawk".  I still occasionally play Starhawk, and have written him into the lore of our campaigns, and my published Kickstarter adventure "Rise of the Cult of Nagfa".  As I mentioned, I started playing D&D in 1981, and have been playing on and off ever since.  I was a member of RPGA, and when I arrived at college in Kenosha, WI, I was a member of the Parkside Association of Wargamers, or PAW.  I went into the ARMY, and moved all over, ended up in Texas for about 20 years where, for about 12 years, ran WOTC events like "In the Realms", "Living Greyhawk", "Encounters", Adventure League" and lots of the "Worldwide Game Days".  I ran a micro-convention for a few years in a little Texas town, called "Quasi-Con".  where all the local HS students, etc. that played D&D would come and play for a day for free.  When my kids were old enough to understand the game, I started running games for them and their friends and started running a regular campaign for about 7 total, almost every weekend thereafter for about 7 years until everyone graduated and were going to college. One long campaign.  I miss it.  Nowadays, I don't get to play much, and I really miss it.  I won't pay to play, unless it's to the FLGS to help them stay afloat. Currently, I am cataloging all of my books.  I'm sorta just getting started and have just crossed 500 entries, mainly modules, and like 25 file boxes to go...  I really need to get rid of all my doubles and extras...  so that's me.  Nice to be here, I've been using this site for geez, I think decades now.

Welcome! Its cool you organized so much play. I am sure you may find folks here who may trade or make an offer for your doubles.

Welcome!  I can't recommend enough you check out the North Texas Role-playing Game Convention held the first weekend of June each year.  It's an old-school RPG convention limited to 500 registrants.  This year will be the 17th annual convention, and the dates are: Wednesday June 4, 2025 @ 1800 until Sunday June 8, 2025 @ 1700. The NTX Con will be held at the Westin DFW Airport Hotel : 4545 West John Carpenter Freeway, Irving , Texas 75063.  Quite a few of the special guests were former employees at TSR. It's a blast!

NTRPGCon - 2025

BY FAR my favorite convention that I've gone to, and I've been all over.  I love seeing all the TSR Alum and all the modern guys like Bill Barsh, etc...  Mike is such a cool guy too and always does such a great job!  I play Jasmine with Darlene every year I go.  Moved to WI just before the pandemic and have only been there once since.  BUT now I've got to get to GameHole Con and GaryCon!  Thanks for the suggestion though, best one to recommend!

John
