I've noticed a few people out in the wilds, who seem to be selling D&D Classics reprints of D&D products.

Those things are not exactly "fake". And if people are done with them, it's fine for them to sell them on, to recover some or all of their investment. But some folks seem to not reveal that they are selling a PoD reprint and think a few folks are so excited at seeing old stuff at a "lower than normal price" that they snap up a used version of something they could be getting brand new from DMs Guild or DriveThru for whatever they are charging.

A lot of the website for The Acaeum is based around people telling the difference between 1st printings and 2nd printings of old products. But I don't see anything about Print on Demand reprints on The Acaeum. I know that isn't "what The Acaeum is about," but I think it might be worth having something up on the main website to raise awareness of the existence of PoD reprints and give people some things they can look for or questions they can ask the seller.

As always, caveat emptor when purchasing anything, especially through sellers on eBay, Facebook, etc.

Sir Kill Alot wrote in Do you have a guide for spotting D&D Classics reprints?:The best way to spot a POD is that the UPC will be different on the back of the book vs the original.  Also, the POD will not have detachable maps.  They are printed as part of the book.

I know what they look like. I buy them from DMs Guild, myself. What I meant was that I don't see them mentioned on the main Acaeum website, in the various buyer's advice pages. If someone is buying on the Internet, they might not be aware of PoD products.
