I happened to go to the PO today and the clerk that helped me happened to be a geek... into vynal etc... told him about comic books and D&D and voila he pointed out the PO is selling D&D postage stamps... so I had to buy the remaining inventory my local PO had... which was like 7 sheets.  Anyway, I am kinda disappointed that all the art was modern.  No Erol Otus or Parkinson or Cadwell....  Or whoever did the art for PseudoDragon or the art for Hidden Shrine of Tsojcanth  or so many more old school awesome pieces.

On USA stamps, my red box is 2nd row 2nd from left. :)

And we have First-Day Covers too.

I picked up 3 sheets as well.  Do forever stamps go out of print?  I couldn't find  anything on the interweb.

No, based on my experience they don't.  I've used "out of print" stamps from a few years back and all went through fine.  As to these D&D ones, I bought a decent amount of sheets but only decided to use one so far as actual stamps.  Despite only one old school one.  The one mentioned by Frank above.  You'd think for a 50 year anniversary set there would be a wide variety of all art styles over the years but on the other hand the current edition is what's in the mind of most newer players so in a way it makes sense to cater to their interests while teasing them of the past.
