Given that I was about 1/2 way down the bidding, I'm assuming this is a likely fraud.

Anyone else get one/can corroborate/etc.?

I didn't get one (yet), but man is that email amateur hour. :roll:

First off when I see sh*t like this in the email heading:

Subject: secondchanceoffer.9745 thought you might like this item on eBay.

Note the highlighted text, "Seconchanceoffer.9745". What exactly is a "secondchanceoffer.9745". Its BS thats what it is. Secondly, the actual text of the email

Is a bunch of garbled bunch of cut and pasted crap that is so poorly done, that it would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. Lastly, the email address in the email is registered on Ebay, but the feedback score is totally different then the seller (its a ) for the email address and a 23 for the actual seller):

Its also almost laughable that this "Second Chance Offer" came 2 full weeks after the conclusion of the original and you finished at #5 on the bidding list. :roll:

Truthfully, the best way to check if a "Second Chance Offer" is legit, just go into my Ebay and check both "My Messages" which should have a direct link to the "Second Chance" auction which will identical in every way to the original auction with exception of the fact that it will have a set Buy it Now price. Aside from that you can also go to your "Items Not Won" link in My Ebay, and there will be an indication there under the auction that you lost that you have a legit "Second Chance Offer'. If you can't find anything by going through "My Ebay", the offer is a scam, no questions asked.

Good advice, its what I usually do when I receive one these in my regular email address...I go and double-check eBay and if it is not there, its a red flag (i.e. a scam).
