I keep hoping the author would be willing to reprint or put up the PDF on DrivethruRPG and squeeze the last of the revenue out of the product instead of leaving it to die on the vine. The PDF is already in the wild out there. It’s a useable reasonable facsimile. But a well presented clean PDF with a PoD option I think would sell well, and you couldn’t mistake a PoD for an original on account of the mapsheet.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Maybe priced high, but in great condition and they don’t come up too often for those who are trying to get the set.
I should really translate these one day.

Not familiar with this. No mention of Mercenaries Guild on afterglow2.com. The back cover lists a ton of other products. Anyone have any info on this company or this product?

Cheers!

I don't understand sellers like this. $2k asking price and only 2 pictures. AND $15 shipping to boot. Lol

Never heard of this one either.
For that price I'm not going to investigate personally.
Looks like a homebrew affair with a daisywheel, so Maybe late 80's.
The list of other products looks extensive and covers more than one genre, but none of those products ring a bell either.

So, has anyone come accross anything by Mercenaries Guild, or Comeres Associates?
Any info would be most enlightening.

Zero sales feedback.

Mysterious entire new range of previously unknown RPG supplements.

It's in shrink, so you'll never know what's inside ...

...if you look you'll find it's all AI generated, with a free TSR hologram tucked inside.

After hitting submit last night I thought, 'wait a minute, I think I actually have a few of those!'  Turns out I have Artifacts and Relics, and Swords and Weapons.  Each is about 18 pages, with one item featured per page.  Each item has an illustration with it.  The art is not that good.  Some items are interesting, but apparently, after reading, I tucked these away never intending to use them.  Still intrigued by the scenarios, though,  almost two dozen are listed and I have never seen one come up anywhere.

I did find this about them: Mercenaries Guild | RPG Publisher | RPGGeek

Cheers!

Yes, it does appear that several at least of these products exist. There's a pdf of Thieves Kit on the net which shows the contents for any interested purchaser. It's 8 pages of descriptions of the contents of a magic "book" containing Thieves tools (like a bag of holding) that you can pull out and use.

So you can evaluate if it's worth it, here's three example entries:

"Hammock -- this is a net hammock that can be strung almost anywhere. It is very comfortable to sleep in"

"Inflatable life ring -- this is a small life preserver that can be used in emergency situations to keep a person afloat"

"Wire -- including copper wire, silver wire, gold wire, steel wire of several guages, very rigid wire of all sizes, super strong wire of very small guage, and braided wire of all sizes"

That's 3 out of 67 entries so that's $90 worth...

The cover of the pdf is different with an illustration (and includes a typo - Thieve's) but the inside is the same (as you can see the text through from the cover sheet).

Starstone with a GBP 85.00 Buy it now.
Shouldn’t last long at that price.
Would have thought there’s a reasonable margin in there to flip it for a UK reseller.
Or you could just make a bid and spike the BIN.

Book of Mars at GBP 8.00, but it’s the truncated version.

This seems a bit fishy to me.  Didn't Star Fleet Battles change over from Task Force Games to Amarillo around 1999-2000 - which would date these items to much later than the 80s?   But I don't really know the Amarillo/Task Force Games relationship.

According to Wikipedia's page on Starfleet battles "Two years of tedious negotiations were completed in January 1999 and Amarillo Design Bureau, Inc. was born"
