I see Tim is on there as having one - he probably won't want to sell his copy.  Not sure about the other guy.

Howdy All,

I came across "Prisoner of the Castle Perilous", a Dungeon adventure in the Jan/Feb 2008 issue. Since I do not have a copy of "Castle Perilous", I was curious to know if there is any correlation between the two or if the Dungeon adventure is a direct take from the original.

Thank you - Paul

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

Are we really to the point where rarity is the only factor in desireability?

I mean...some things are rare for a reason...because they sucked to begin with.

Anyone want to try to bid my copy of Ironhoof Highlands away from me?

We are getting closer to rarity trumping quality in the prices for items which means we are maturing as a collecting hobby.

Shrink is not a condition

There's also the chance that it is simply someone who is interested in seeing what an old, classic game all is about.

I finally recently acquired a copy of Mach (in the shrink no less), a game I'd seen much advertised in Dragon back in the day, mostly to see what the game was all about. I'd read a few reviews, and it was a so-so game by those reviews. But the price was right, and I had the money at the time.

The fact that it is still sitting on my bookshelf in the original shrink is all about my lack of time for a good, in-depth read than any collectability issues.

Also, that said, even with the above review, I'd probably buy a copy of Castle Perilous if I could find one at the right price. Just so I could read it, and again, satisfy my curiosity.

You should be able to get a copy for a reasonable price through Precis Intermedia:

Precis Intermedia :: Castle Perilous

I believe it will be released this coming week.
