One of the local stores has some 3rd party stuff for $5 or so (but mainly crap like Fast Forward Entertainment books), but for most stuff they're still asking for cover price.  So yeah: damn you guys with the $1 books!

Speaking of $1 sales, I just took a trip accross country to my LGS and picked up 20 copies each of East Mark Gazetter and Moat Gate for £1 each. One of my best ever finds in a games store.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Did the store ask why you are buying so many? or these game stores just not caring as long as they have a sale.

TBH, they got the stock for much less than that, and they made a profit on their sales to me. They know that I'm a reseller on eBay.

Definitely all about the immediate cash at my FLGS.  They could care less how much I buy out of their $1 boxes, they just want the stuff out of the store so they can display and sell the wargaming and CCG stuff.  I've been throwing much of this stuff up on paperbackswap.com and earning creits for other game and literature items available (been hunting down the pulpy Lin Carter Thongor books and some other goodies.)
