Hi all,

I'm looking for an article contained in this fanzine. It was contained in issue #5.

The title is: "Spell Casting System by Rene Steenbergen"

I would be very grateful if someone could give me a glimpse of what this system is about or how it works.

the fanzine is slim, so i suppose it might be just a one-page article or so...

thanks Mars, i'd like to buy that issue but i am not willing to pay 40 dollars if this is just a one page and very short article...so help to learn that is appreciated.

2 page article, pages 14-15. cross referenced chart showing percentages of success from char. levels 1-27 on one axis ans spell levels 1-10 on the other. that chart takes up page 14, and a few other rules take up page 15.

the fact is that i'm obsessed with alternative magic system...i have been since my coming into the hobby, so i could do that...i know it souns odd, that's why i'm trying to collect as much information as possible before purchasing it...that article is the only reason why i'm interested in that issue of Apprentice.

pages 4 through 7. page 8 is "galadriel's mirror" the announcement page, where there is a mention of the upcoming gencon 12. that was my second gencon. next week will be my 33rd gencon. i suddenly feel very old....

Stratochamp, since i don't own that issue, can you tell me if in that article Simbalist approve of the use of C&S system in order to play a game in Middle earth? or maybe he gives hints and suggestions to do that,tweaking the game to this aim? Or he does not encourage playing in ME with C&S rules?
